The Heida le Premier 2023 brings the bright side of Valais into the glass: alpine freshness, yellow fruit, fine flowers, and a spicy minerality that gives this wine more than just a lovely aroma. This is a white wine for joyful days – clear, vibrant, and with enough character to make a special moment lasting.

Heida is one of the great Valais white wine specialties. Behind the name is the old grape variety Savagnin Blanc, traditionally known as Heida in Valais. You don't have to memorise this for enjoyment – you simply taste it: distinctive, aromatic, fresh, and with an alpine backbone.

On the nose, it shows pear, yellow apple, citrus zest, and a hint of pineapple. Additionally, there are elderflowers, bright flowers, some dried fruit, and a fine almond note. In the background lies a cool, stony freshness, as if the wine has brought the Valais mountain air straight into the glass.

On the palate, it is dry, fresh and structured. The fruit appears juicy, the acidity brings drive, the body provides substance and the spicy minerality elegantly extends the wine. With 13.4% vol., it has presence, yet remains bright, precise and invigorating. In the finish, citrus, pear, almond and a fine salty impression linger.

A Heida for special moments, festive apéros and long conversations at the table. It pairs excellently with raclette, aged alpine cheese, fish, shellfish, white meat, poultry, vegetable dishes, mild curries or dishes with citrus, herbs and fine spices.

Serving suggestion: enjoy at around 12 °C. Do not serve too cold – this wine thrives on aroma, structure and its alpine aftertaste.
