In the Vallon Raspille, between the pyramids of Salgesch and sun-drenched Valais vineyards, wines with distinctive origins are created.
Since 1971, the belief here is that great quality begins in the vineyard – today the vines are cultivated exclusively according to organic principles.
In the cellar, the wines receive above all one thing: time, calm, and as little intervention as possible, so that varietal typicity, freshness, and character are preserved.
Local grape varieties such as Heida and Cornalin meet international classics that have long become part of the independent Salgesch wine culture. Thus, a philosophy becomes a promise:
The authenticity of the wine.

Remo Meyer combines solid winemaking skills with curiosity, consistency, and a clear idea of how good wine should be made.
Since 2022, the qualified viticulture technician has been responsible for the vineyard and cellar, continuing the established style of the winery with his own ideas.
His particular passion is for Pinot Noir as well as the characterful Valais grape varieties Heida, Cornalin, and Lafnetscha.
Organic management, precise work, and a fine sense of origin and grape variety define his path.
Preserving tradition without standing still.

Since 2023, all vineyards have been managed according to organic principles, not as a label, but as a consistent development of his own work.
At the centre are vital soils, resilient vines, and a harmonious interplay of plant, soil, and environment.
The interventions remain targeted and restrained, allowing the characteristics of the individual sites and grape varieties to develop as clearly as possible.
This creates the balance in the vineyard that later shapes the character of the wines.
Nature creates character.
Salgesch lives wine.
Around the village, sun-drenched vineyards shape a landscape where viticulture has been firmly rooted for generations.
Different microclimates and the calcium- and magnesium-rich soils give the wines a special tension, depth, and individuality.
Here, alpine freshness, intense sun, and barren soils meet a developed wine culture.
Ideal conditions for characterful Valais wines with unmistakable origin.
What is created here carries the landscape within it.
Wine connects people, knowledge and generations.
Around Cave Biber, a network has grown that extends from the young Swiss winemaker scene to the traditional wine world of Valais and Europe.
Remo Meyer, as a member of the Young Winemakers of Switzerland, brings new impulses and direct exchange with an engaged generation of producers.
At the same time, the close connections to the Order of the Channe and the European Wine Knighthood provide access to established relationships, experience and international wine culture.
Thus, new ideas meet long-standing experience, and development arises from exchange.
